Auto-assignment
a.k.a. lead routingThe rule that decides which rep gets a new lead. Round-robin is the simplest; skill-based, territory, and language-aware are common variants in India.

AI call summary
A short, structured note generated automatically after a sales call: outcome, next step, objections raised, sentiment. Useful when typed by AI; surveillance when read by managers without rep consent.
API
Application Programming InterfaceHow GrowYu lets another app push or pull data — leads in, calls out. Useful when your website or accounting tool needs to round-trip records.
ARR
Annual Recurring RevenueHow much subscription revenue a SaaS company would earn in a year if today's customers kept paying at today's rates. The number investors care about. Not the same as bank-collected revenue.

Call recording
Audio of a sales call, stored against the lead record. Indian carrier-attached recordings (via SIM-dial) capture both sides of the call; software-only recordings on Android can miss the other party.
Connect rate
The percentage of dialled calls that a human picks up. India median for tele-sales: 18–32% on cloud telephony, 42–58% on SIM-dial.
Churn
The percentage of customers who cancel in a given period. SMB churn is dominated by 3 reasons: unused product, surprise renewal price, or the champion left the company.
Cookie window
How long a referral or marketing-attribution cookie sticks. GrowYu's affiliate program uses a 90-day cookie. After that, the click is "stale" and the credit drops.

DPDP Act
Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023India's data privacy law. Requires consent before collecting personal data, an in-product way to export/erase records, and (for sensitive industries) data-residency in India.

Data residency
Where customer data physically lives. GrowYu defaults to Mumbai (ap-south-1) with Hyderabad fail-over; enterprise plans can lock to India-only.
Discovery call
The first sales conversation. Goal: learn what the prospect is trying to solve, who else is in the buying group, and what would have to be true for them to say yes.
DND list
Do Not DisturbTRAI-managed list of Indian numbers that have opted out of marketing calls. A real CRM checks this before dialing, and saves you from regulatory action.

Field sales
Sales reps who meet leads in person — site visits, in-store demos, dealer calls. Different from inside sales in two ways: GPS proof matters, and the phone is the work surface.
Follow-up cadence
A planned sequence of touches after a first call — day 3, 7, 14, 21. Most SMB teams skip days 7 and 14; a good cadence software just won't let you.

Interactive Voice Response"Press 1 for sales, 2 for support." Useful for routing inbound; over-used as a stalling tactic. We recommend max 2 levels.
IndiaMart
India's largest B2B marketplace, and a top lead source for small-business sales teams. Generates leads in CSV that need automatic phone-format normalisation.
Inbound lead
A prospect who comes to you — through a website form, an ad, or a marketplace. They've shown intent; speed-to-lead matters most here.

Lead scoring
A way of ranking leads so reps call the hot ones first. Useful at 1,000+ leads/month; before that, just call all of them.
Lead source
Where the lead came from — IndiaMart, Facebook, walk-in, referral. The single most important field for measuring ROI in INR.
M
MSME
Micro, Small, Medium EnterpriseThe Indian government classification of small businesses by investment and turnover. ~63 million MSMEs in India; GrowYu's core market.
MRR
Monthly Recurring RevenueHow much subscription revenue lands every month. ARR ÷ 12, basically. Easier to track week-to-week.
O
OAuth
A way for another app to access your GrowYu data with your permission, without you handing over your password. Used for Google, Microsoft, Zapier integrations.
Outbound calling
You calling the prospect. The opposite of inbound. Cold (they don't know you) and warm (they downloaded something) are the two sub-types.
P
Pipeline stage
A position in your sales process — "new lead", "qualified", "proposal sent", "won". Most CRMs ship 12; most SMBs need 4.
Power dialer
A tool that auto-dials the next number in a list when the previous call ends. Good for high-volume tele-sales; overkill below 100 calls/day.

Round-robin
The simplest auto-assignment rule: leads go to reps in turn. Fair, transparent, but ignores workload — pair with a skip-when-busy rule.
ROI
Return on InvestmentWhat you got out, divided by what you put in. For a CRM, calculated in connected calls, qualified leads, and INR closed — not "productivity gain percentages."
Renewal
An existing customer continuing their subscription. Cheapest revenue you'll ever earn. Best worked 90 days before due date.

SLA
Service Level AgreementA promise about how fast something gets done. For sales: time-to-first-call after a lead arrives. GrowYu's typical target: under 5 minutes during work hours.
SIM-dial
Placing the call from the rep's own SIM card via the GrowYu app — instead of routing through cloud telephony. Higher connect rate in India (less spam-flagging), but tied to the device.
SSO
Single Sign-On / SAMLLog in to GrowYu using your company's existing identity provider (Okta, Google Workspace). Available on Scale and Enterprise.
Speed-to-lead
The clock from "lead arrives" to "first contact." Every minute past 5 cuts conversion meaningfully; past 30, the lead is half as likely to close.

Tele-CRM
A CRM whose first surface is a phone — built around dialing, recording, and follow-up reminders. Different from a "deal-stage" CRM, which is built around pipeline forecasting.
TDS
Tax Deducted at SourceIndian tax that's withheld from payments. Affiliate payouts to non-GST-registered individuals: 1% under 194-O. We deduct it automatically.
U
UPI
Unified Payments InterfaceIndia's instant bank-to-bank payment system. GrowYu pays affiliates over UPI by default — money lands in your bank in seconds, with no payment-gateway fees.
Uptime
Share of time a service is up. 99.95% sounds great, but it allows ~22 minutes of downtime per month.

WhatsApp Business
The Meta-approved channel for business messaging. Two flavours: the on-device app (5–50 contacts at a time) and the Cloud API (broadcasts, templates, automations). GrowYu uses both.
Webhook
A way for one app to push data to another in real time. When IndiaMart sends a new lead, that's a webhook hitting GrowYu's inbox.
Warm transfer
Handing a live caller to another rep with context already shared. Different from a cold transfer ("hold on, transferring") — the next rep already knows the deal.
